  • Livery request data: simulator used, aircraft type, airline, and registration(s) requested.
  • Technical information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device used.
  • Usage data: pages visited, links clicked, time spent on the Site, and browsing behaviour (via analytics tools).

4. Legal basis for processing

In accordance with Article 6 of the GDPR, data processing is based on the following legal grounds: your consent (Art. 6.1.a), given by ticking the Terms of Service checkbox before submitting a form; SimDevsTeam's legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f), for Site security, abuse prevention, and service improvement; performance of a service (Art. 6.1.b), when you submit a livery request or contact us for a specific purpose.

5. How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • Respond to your contact, livery, or recruitment requests.
  • Improve and personalise the Site by analysing usage patterns.
  • Send administrative updates if you have requested them.
  • Ensure Site security and prevent abuse.

6. Data retention

Your data is retained for the period strictly necessary for the purposes for which it was collected: contact form data is kept for 12 months from receipt; livery request data is kept for 24 months for project tracking; session data (team members) is deleted 30 days after logout. Beyond these periods, your data is deleted or anonymised.

7. Cookies and tracking

The Site uses strictly necessary cookies (PHP session, language preference) and analytics cookies to measure traffic. No advertising cookies are placed. You can disable cookies at any time in your browser settings, although some Site features may be affected.

8. Third-party services

The Site uses the following third-party services: Google Tag Manager and Google Fonts (anonymous statistics and fonts — data may transit through Google's US servers, covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework); Ovates Analytics (ovates-tianji.orcdrove.fr), a self-hosted analytics tool that does not collect personally identifiable data; download server (download.simdevsteam.com), hosted in France, which logs access data (IP, file, date) for statistics and security purposes.

9. Hosting and data location

The Site and its download server are hosted in France (Alsace). All data processed by the Site is stored within the European Union and subject to GDPR and French data protection law.

10. Sharing your data

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate the Site or fulfil legal obligations. These providers are contractually required to protect the confidentiality of your data.

11. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted communications (HTTPS), secure password hashing (bcrypt), HTTP security headers, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is entirely secure.
